When Dr. Leavitt says to a patient, "Call me, page me, send me e-mail," he means it.

Elective foot surgery was a decision that I didn't make easily or quickly. I had many professional views of what might be causing my foot pain. After several podiatrists as well as my primary care physician explained that my condition was deteriorating, I had to make some decisions. I just could not fathom that this was happening to me. I put off the inevitable surgery for far too long because I had not found the right doctor nor the right time in my life to manage what it would take to correct my problem. In February, 2002, I found Dr. Kenneth Leavitt and I knew that I had found the right guy for the job. My condition was a complicated and challenging case for Dr. Leavitt and this intrigued him. He explained everything I needed to know and made me quite aware of the personal effort it would take for the two of us to accomplish a good outcome together.
Doctor Leavitt is a man of few words, but those words will never steer you wrong. He adds wit and wisdom in explaining details of each diagnosis through prognosis. With what seems almost a casual view of what he does each day, he manages to blanket you with his warm voice of reason. When he says to a patient, "Call me, page me, send me an email", he means it whole-heartedly. Each patient is a person of interest to Doctor Leavitt and each success is a personal joy. His dynamic energy is contagious as he advises his patients through surgery or in helping to further educate the fainthearted in understanding what alternatives may be available before committing to surgery.
If you have visited his office, you may have noticed he has a rock foot which has been drawn with painted toe nails. The rock looks exactly like the shape of a foot! That, I found on a beach and could not resist.
I truly hope this letter may provide encouragement to others looking for a foot specialist who will no doubt take as much care and concern with you as Dr. Leavitt and his wonderful team has done with me.
